Pleasantly Surprised for the Price

I installed this unit in my Crownline 266 CCR to replace the failed factory TAPE deck...lol.Easy to install, great sound, solid construction, the included remote wiring easily made it to my swim platform where I installed it for easy access when socializing behind the boat at the sand bar.One feature I was pleasantly surprised to see that isn't really mentioned in the documentation on line or in the manual is that even if you cut power to this unit completely (like disconnecting the battery or using a battery switch,) the unit remembers all your settings and stations. VERY nice feature to have on a boat that is stored during the week and used on the weekends.Over all...very happy with this purchase and recommend it for anyone looking to buy. The price here was as much as I could find it for re-firbed on EBay.PS...BOSS Marin equipment is made by Jenson.

Rocks the boat!

I purchased this stereo from amazon a month ago and could be happier! We installed it on our boat and its awesome! especially having the remote to control the volume without having to get hit in the head by the glove box everytime is a plus! Installation was a bit challenging but well worth it, sounds great! Love it!

Great Value

I cannot believe how nice of a deck this is for the money. I also bought the speakers for it by BOSS and the whole system works wonderfully. I installed them on a 24' pontoon boat and the sound quality is very good and very loud. I do not have any cons as of yet but will update if I run into problems. I use a powered high quality radio antannae and have no issues with signal. CD's play wonderfully as well. Installation was very easy.

BETTER THAN ADVERTISED

My wife has always loved jewelry of almost every kind, as long as it is simple, non-ornate or non-gaudy, beautiful and, well, again----simple and lovely. These pearl earrings certainly fit the bill. These were a Christmas present and a giant hit--just beautiful and, here at near the end of January, she has not yet taken them off for anything. These are a great buy for the dollars requested and after comparison shopping seem truly a bargain. So-----simple......pretty......inexpensive.......happy wife.......all together-----priceless!!!!!!

Outlets are sequentially turned on at 250 millisecond intervals when the PDU is first energized from an unpowered state to prevent inrush-related equipment interaction on startup. Installed web/network monitoring card enables remote power monitoring and control. Remotely displays status of input power, load capacity, and outlet power condition via secure network or web browser interface. Offers individual outlet control to power on, off, or cycle AC output to regain control of locked-up servers and other network devices. Load ramping and shedding provides automatic power management to any type of network configuration. Supports notification and logging of input power status, event notification, output power and PDU loading conditions. Supports 1U rackmount installation in a 2 or 4 post racks. Included are 8 NEMA 5-15R outlets and two 12 ft. 5-15P optional-use dual cords for auto-transfer switching (ATS) option. Does what it says

I agree with another reviewer's suggestion of placing the outlets on the back. It is too deep to mount in 1U slot on the back of the rack if you are planning on putting anything deeper than a patch panel or similar object in the corresponding space on the front of the rack. I chose to mount on the front of the rack just below my Ethernet switches and other network appliances, as these are the units that I do not have redundant power supplies on.That being said, I have it connected to 2 SU3000RTXR3U. I have also not been able to successfully update the firmware on the integrated snmp web card but I have not been able to do it on the add-on cards for the SU3000RTX3U units either. I am not sure if it is my 64bit PC running their Java update application but will try to do it from another system, possibly one of the servers.1 star removed for "ergonomics" because of the limited placement options in standard 4-post racks and the firmware update issue I am having.

Love the transfer switching!

This power distribution unit is worth it for the Automatic Transfer feature alone. I am using it in a location where power is a problem, especially during the Winter months. We have two Tripp Lite UPS's, on two backup generators and use this PDU to transfer power if one of the systems fail.The only thing that would make this unit better, in my opinion, is if all the outlets were on the back instead of the front.

Nice Product

This is a pretty nice device. The first one quit a couple weeks after installation. Tech support was very helpful and sent me out a replacement. The new one has been running fine. The web interface is pretty basic. I have several devices plugged into it and it still reads 0 amps. I'm not sure how accurate the amp reading is. I remotely turned a device off, but when I went in it was running. I haven't looked into why it was on. The cycle option works very nice.
