Good for our birding needs

We are using this tripod/head to hold an Alpen 788 scope for birding. It seems like a good choice - sturdy enough for the 3.5lb scope, yet light enough to carry around on long hikes. My only criticism is that the adjustment knobs aren't intuitive. It would be better if the handle for the video head did the vertical and horizontal adjustments (rather than two additional knobs).

Video never looked this good

The difference between using a tripod and without using one is known to many as critical to better video - I would add, because I have seen "Professional" (wedding) photographers taking video with photo tripods that using a specific video tripod is just as important. The fluid movement and feel to this makes video look as smooth as I have ever seen. The price for professional video tripods can go up quickly so I was happy with the performance at this price point.

This is one of the very best tripods out there for the money. I have one with a Bogen/Manfrotto Pistol grip head for binoculars and this one for a video camera. Very stable. Quick lock legs. No glare finish. I love them.

Edge Programmer 15001

About 2 years ago, while pumping fuel while on vacation in Iowa heading back to Washington State, a young man approached me. He had the same truck as I, he was pulling a small boat with a trailer, I was pulling a 10,000 LB 5th wheel. He was so proud of his Edge Evolution Programmer he wanted me to come take a look at his. He was excited on how well it preformed and how easy it was to install. I have been thinking about that unsolicited endorsement ever since, especially when I began to lose power on slight inclines while pulling the trailer and when I buy diesel. After 2 years I finally bought one and couldn't be happier. I can now keep up with traffic while draging the trailer and I'm sure my economy has improved. I don't know by how much since I haven't gone through a whole tank yet with just pulling the trailer or a complete tank without pulling it.The installation was easy. Drilling and taping a hole in the exhaust manifold was a little hard on the nerves, but everything turned out fine. You simply plug it in and you are ready to go.

Great programmer, doesn't fit with a pillar gauge pods

Great programmer! I have the autometer tripple gauge pod on my driverside a pillar, and this doesn't fit with the pod there.There are other options from other companies for mounting these programmers, auto meter makes an overhead console mount for the edge programmer. It might work with the dual pod, but I ended up cutting into the dash to flush mount the unit. Hope this helps someone

Disappointed...

I bought this to get better fuel mileage, but didn't get it.It will give you more power, but forget it if you're looking for better economy.Even using hypermile techniques (light foot, coasting as much as possible) there was no change in economy.

Excellent Chandelair

Ver nice.. First seen it in a local lighting store for about $200.00 more than my purchase price on Amazon. It took just a couple days to get, but it took about 6 weeks to find an electrician with the proper lift to install. Our foyer is about 25 feet and narrow. It's up know and looks great. The quality of the metal and glass is excellent and the light/warmth is just what we were looking for. Great purchase, transaction and excellent quality. Amazon you did it again! :)
