I bought this unit new in 2007 and it has been my sole source of video/tv/computer screen. The HD quality rivals flat screen sets, in fact I really cant see the difference. I like the fact that it just projects on my wall and when its off, I dont have a tv set to try to decorate around. i dont use a screen and the quality is still outstanding. The negative is the bulb only last about 900 hours. I live alone so my bulb has lasted me up until now. They are quite expensive to replace. For me however the payoff is worth the picture quality on the HD channels, also the viewing area is almost my entire wall. I see the picture fine even with other lights on in the room or with the drapes open during the day. After 3 years I do not regret this purchase. I bought it for $2k from Costco. The price has increased since then so I suspect its reputation endures.

I've owned several projectors before from Dell and Compaq. I've used InFocus ones at work too, but this is by far the best projector. The quality of it rivals $5k projectors out there.
