The VacuMaster 3 cfm vacuum pump HVAC high performance vacuum pump is engineered specifically for air conditioning and refrigeration service, and built with Robinair feets proven offset rotary vane for fast, thorough evacuation. The two-stage, offset rotary vane design provides powerful, quiet high vacuum capability and assures moisture removal, while the high pumping capacity reduces evacuation time. Lifetime filtration intake filter prevents foreign matter from entering the pumping chamber, and an internal exhaust filter separates oil vapor from the exhaust flow. The exhaust is expelled through the handle to direct it away from the service technician. Sure-grip one-piece, molded handle makes it easy to carry the pump to and from job sites, and the handle stays cool to the touch during operation. Pump measures just 151/2 inch long making it compact in size, while the aluminum housing and offset rotary vanes keep the pump weight low, making it easy to carry.

best vacuum i've used

this vacuum gave me 29 Hg readings like it said it would. very quiet operation and reliable. it's tough! I would definitely recommend this product for those DIY automotive mechanics if you want to save a trip to the shop. it's another great tool for you box and a well worth knowing skill.

This was the first time I have used a vacuum pump. It looks to be solidly built. Poured oil into pump and turned it on to let it run for 1 minute. It was much quieter than I figured. In just a few minutes the vacuum was down to 29 HG. After running for about 20 minutes, I let it sit for about 15 minutes, holding vacuum to see if there were any leaks. It worked perfectly. Ac is now working in the car.

No gas ballast, but still good pump for AC

Pump should work just fine for most systems, however due to the lack of a gas ballast the oil in this pump becomes contaminated extremely quickly, good product for the occasional garage mechanic, however I used it in conjunction with a bell jar, and any moisture whatsoever would contaminate the oil really quickly, even high humidity. The only other complaint is that this thing is actually fairly loud and obnoxious. But for AC evacuation I would imagine it would suit the needs of most people who purchase it. My recommendation though is that for science demonstrations just pick up a used Edwards pump like I did.

Best chair ever....EVER!

Sit in this chair for a few moments and the weight of the world will be lifted off your shoulders. This recliner is not only comfortable it is very well made but caution; extreme drowziness could occur while sitting. I have two of these marvelous items and when my father-in-law sat in one he ordered two for himself.

Excellent quality. Great application instructions included. Bought this kit to change the joints on an 01 dodge cummins 4x4 2500. worked well until I tried to push out the lower joints. The receiver cup is not quite right. it will push the joint out just not as slick as it would if the cup was right. It is about 1/16" to big. I recommend that you apply anti-seize to the new joint. When pressing it in, if it becomes cocked, push it back out and start over. don't try to force it.The listing picture does not do justice to the size of the kit. It's a big kit and heavy. don't waste your money on a harbor freight press, like i did. the cheap Chinese press will bend while the joint laughs at you. Also if you get frustrated and decide to use yer oxy/fuel torch to heat things up and drive it out with a hammer, DON'T DO IT! Ball joint will explode about the time it starts to turn red. Ask me how I know. Damage to my shop floor proves it!If you have never taken the knuckle apart on the dodge 4x4, read on. some special tools are needed. 12 point 1/2 drive socket set. when you get to the unit bearing is when things get tough. it has 4 retaining bolts, remove 2 on opposite corners. back the other 2 out about 3/8". use a socket and extention between the bolt head and the end of the axle tube. turn the knuckle so that the socket extension combo is held in place between the bolt head and axle tube. start the engine, turn the steering till you feel the wheel pop. you have just pushed the unit bearing assembly about a 1/16". move the socket/extension to the other bolt, start and turn. repeat till the unit bearing is free of the knuckle. Be ever so careful removing the axle shafts. mess up the seal and the differential has to be removed from the housing to replace the seals.
