I just installed these earlier today, and wow, was the sound so clear. I was accustomed to the stock speakers for awhile, but, when I heard these first hand connected to a 4 channel 400 watt amp, I was amazed on the clarity, the loudness, and the warm, bright sound. I can't wait to match these mids/highs to the 12" Type-R sub(s). You will definitely be wanting bass after listening to these without a sub/amp combo, since the crossovers take away the bass notes, although there is "punchy mid-bass".

even with out subwoofers they make a the rearview mirrors rattle.And you cant beat the highs either.sound great in any car.try with an alpine head unit and type r subs, and youve got one of the best systems out there

Great purchase my first purchase for my car and i would not have made a better choice. the product is great and i am very satisfied with it, i dont have an amp or subs, but this still hits hard enough to make my rear view mirror shake and has a very good sound. I am very satisfied with the product.
