Product Description

The ECE Scrub Plane is useful in processing very rough or uneven surfaces in preparation for smoothing with a Fore / Jack Plane (See Ulmia Short Jointer or Kunz #5 Plus). The convex cutting edge of the iron removes material quickly when using diagonal strokes. It is also useful for texturing and distressing wood surfaces. The iron is adjusted by means of a wooden wedge. Simply tap the iron for a deeper cut, or tap the strike plate on the heel for a more shallow cut. Tap the wedge to fix your adjustment, it's that easy. 33mm (1 5/16") single iron, 45° cutting angle, 240mm X 49mm Red Beech body, White Beech sole.

Wooden hand planes are a viable alternative to metal planes with mechanical adjusters. In a world full of metal planes, The ECE wood body planes provide elegant simplicity by providing time tested designs coupled with modern manufacturing methods and materials. Before metal adjusters, plane irons were adjusted to very precise tolerances by a simple tap of the iron for a deeper cut. A tap on the heel of the plane reduces the cut. This simple process is still in use around the world and preferred by many craftsmen as an alternative to mechanical adjusters. Wooden planes are also easier to tune and maintain than their metal counterparts and use simple woodworking skills and tools.

A great wooden plane

This is a wonderful alternative to mass produced metal planes, and very satisfying both to use and to admire. It is sharp, and cuts right out of the box; no tuning or sharpening was required.It is an elegant woodworking tool combining functionality with beauty. It is well made, and I am quite happy with it.

Nice plane

This is a great plane for taking off a lot of wood. It's the only plane tOr chisel for that matter that came with a super shape blade. I use it for green woodworking.

Great plane

I use this plane to remove wood quickly when rough shaping an arched guitar top. The plane works great, planing out hard maple effortlessly. Adjustment couldn't be simpler, and the iron comes scary sharp.

Good figure overall

The first bit of bad news. Balthier's head fell off the moment I took the figure out of the package. From the looks of it, the head wasn't molded on properly. The good news is that I was able to glue the head back on. There's a limitation to head articulation, but then again, who really goes out of their way to turn a figure's head endlessly anyways? The arm and waist articulation is pretty good. The leg articulation is decent, but not as good as some of the other figures out there. The figure stands well with of without the stand. A good figure overall.

Great collectible for Final Fantasy XII fans

This is not a children's action figure toy. This is something you buy for an adult gamer who's also a fan of Final Fantasy games. Balthier just so happens to be one of my favorite FF men, so I was so pleased when I found this gathering dust in a comic book shop. I'm a little confused by the price on Amazon. I got mine for $24.99. Shop around folks.This is an extremely durable collectible. I was able to change his hands out (he comes with an extra two) and pose him without fearing breaking off fingers. He's very detailed as well. While it is a very close likeness in the face it doesn't appear to be spot on. The clothing however is very well done, as is the gun he comes with. His body is jointed so that achieving a realistic pose is very possible. Now if only they made a Fran action figure that could stand beside him!

Balthier is a great addition to any collection.

The reason it has such low stars on fun and education is because it is not really meant to be a "toy" that you play with. Although it is very good for drawing reference if you also want to go that route. It is very detailed and the points of articulation are well placed and easy to move. I am very pleased with my Balthier figure.

Sturdy, well made, easy to install and use

I recently bought one of these for our home after we moved in. Now I don't need to fumble with keys every time I need to ket in the house, and I don't have to worry about kids losing or forgetting keys.Like other schlage locks I have owned, this unit seems to be very well made, sturdy, and easy to install. The programming of codes is simple, and codes can be added or deleted just by using the keypad. Keypad use as far as entering codes or even updating codes is straighforward. The fact that a simple button push "lights up" the buttons at night is also cool.The buttons are also epoxy-coated, so the numbers won't "wear off" thus revealing the codes used. I have a separate code for each family member, and can easily add codes if I have a contractor stopping by.A key can be used to open the lock if for some reason the electronic part stops functioning (too cold from sub-sero weather, perhaps?). Since this is a Schlage lock, it can even be re-keyed so that the key you have matches the other Schlage locks your house may have.

Update on Battery Life

The other reviews have covered the product very well, so I am just commenting on the battery life. My 9 volt battery that came with the lock lasted 1 month. I just assumed it had been sitting in the package and was near it's exp. date. The 2nd battery I installed was a fresh Everyready Alkaline 9 volt. It lasted a total of 4 months. There are only 3 family members in my house, so I don't think it is a matter of heavy use.My point is that 4 months is a long way from the 3 years advertised so consider this when you are thinking of getting this lock.4/5/09 Another update...3rd battery lasted less than 1 week and when it failed the door sat unlocked all day, not good. Will contact Schlage for replacement, but do not like to have to return things and pay shipping

Great lock; Ya get what ya pay for!

I timed my installation of this at a surprizing 15 minutes, including removing the old doorknobs and reversing the handles on the keyless entry. Usually everything takes twice as long with me! The only hard part was deciding which door to put it on- the main house entry or an outbuilding I use a lot.An earlier review stated that the lock shuts down for 5 minutes after four consecutive missed entries of combinations. I timed mine at 30 seconds shutdown, confirmed in the owner's manual.The thing is made well, heavy duty even. Easy to program and delete combinations. I was hoping to gain entry a tad quicker by "swiping" a finger across four digits in a row, but this won't allow that; it wants a discret push of a number on the keypad with a very short time between entries. So it takes 3-4 seconds to open the door.No complaints, but I await the day the 9V battery gives out and I have to remove the inside portion of this lock to replace it. Then I may have my first gripe!P.S. - I paid $118 (on sale) for mine in bright brass at Lowe's, Jan.'09.

Purchased this on the recommendation of a friend who swears by this. Let me start by saying that I have only been using this for about a week so obviously have not seen any difference in breathing during exercise. I intend to add to this in a month or 2 to update!This product is well designed and easy to use. It has an adjustment knob at the bottom of the handle which is easy to use and is resistant to accidental adjustment! The adjustment starts at 0 with slight resistance to inhalation which I can easily inhale the required 30 breaths and can be adjusted to 10 where I could barely inhale 10 breaths! I'm not the fittest guy in the world but i'm fairly active and probably have an above level of fitness with all the sport and training I do, so this product has the potential to be used by almost anyone. Don't see why you need the next model up unless you were an elite athlete training for high altitude events!The only downside for me is the size of the mouth piece. Would prefer it to be slightly larger however I may become accustomed to it over time! Will leave any recomendations until i update in a month or 2

Looks more expensive than it is. No universal key option.

Great lock, looks good, feels solid. I bought it from my front door. I was hoping for an easy path to having one key for all my Schlage locks but this is not the case here. :( I have 2 other Schlage locks that came with a special key to allow re-calibration and be able to have 1 key for all doors. This Dexter doesn't have this. I erroneously assumed that at this price range it'd be possible. It took me a couple months to install my front door and the lock set so I didn't return it. The aged bronze looks good so I'm not terribly upset.

Quality product

I bought two handle-sets with the intent to update my existing double front doors. I ended up returning this after the 30-day period since I didn't get around to installing them in time. Amazon still took them back, less a reasonable restocking fee.The existing deadbolt and handle-set holes on my doors were too close together. The size of the exterior plate for the deadbolt is too large for my setup. I ended up buying a similar style Schlage at my local HD that fit, but it was still a tight.Note that both product lines have lifetime mechanical warranties, however the Dexter (owned by Schlage) only gets a 5-year warranty on the finish vs Schlage's lifetime. Overall, I found the Dexter product to be just as hefty in weight and with a similar quality finish.

I have had these boots for awhile now. They have held up great and are very comfy. Very accurate but incredibly difficult model

This model is incredibly detailed and at over 500 parts a lot of which are very small and without the use of forceps or tweezers you are going to glue your fingers together during assembly. The big differences between this kit and the tamiya kit are for one this one includes the railings as well as real metal chains as well as follacle sized nylon thread for the rigging. The only improvements that could be made for this kit would be photoetched metal railings to scale and of course a large decal for the wooden deck planks or a paper thin slice of wood veneer. I have seen a review of a tamiya kit with wood veneer attached however despite the spectacular job the modeler did on the rest of the kit it wouldve been perfect if he used multiple strips of wood veneer instead of one precision cut piece. (THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL that any tree could be that tall or wide) this was in fine scale modeler. What wouldve been really neat is if revell wouldve done what they did in their 1/48 scale flying fortress with its simulated wood grain on the tables, if they wouldve done this on the main deck of this ship I wouldve been very impressed. (no need for a decal period with proper painting by using vallejo's new wood drybrushed on top of old wood and then washed with a black ink.) with a few minor investments you could make this kit look so real if you placed it next to a picture of the real thing an onlooker wouldnt know which one was the model.there are only 2 innaccuracies to this kit the oversized railings and the no simulated wood main deck.regardless well worth the investment. Especially considering Revells great no questions asked customer service where any part is replaced within a few days with no reciept required and completely hassle and cost free. Unlike tamiya which gives you the run around makes you feel stupid then demands you pay a high price for a replacement part even if its their fault and demands you pay shipping on top of it. good luck and happy building

End of discussion

Since I was 13 years old I am building models. I had to suspend my hobby because I had no where to buy shops until I found and bought on Amazon. This model revell has any amount of detail, it is worth its price. Research in several sites Tamiya models, Trumpet, etc and always looked better Revell. If you have a hobby models arming, let me tell you that you will not regret if you buy this. It's almost a museum level. I give it 5 stars because it arrived on time, the relationship between price and product quality above all and most importantly, the instructions are well detailed, color schemes, etc..two thumbs up

A very detailed scale model

I wanted a Battle of the Denmark Straight [the main ships] and of the 4 ships needed the Revell Bismarck is the most detailed by far. The price is very fair over what Trumpeter is asking for the HMS Hood which is no where the detail. From the anchor chains to the cranes it's hard to understand how Trumpeter can ask $125.00 for it's model! For no I will live with my HMS Hood but I will look and find an equal to my Bismarck for the display

They're Pyle Pro Speakers!

...First off, the price is for one speaker and are passive (non-powered), you will need an external amplifier. I can understand why some would get confused. For the first couple of years in my DJ/KJ business, I was always looking for the best possible sound on a budget. I purchased from Pyle Pro and a couple of others manufacturers. All three had their pros and cons. Downfall about Pyle is it's kind of like "a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." On the flip side, when they get it right, it can be really nice for the price!...I purchased two of these speakers several months back figuring there was a chance something would possibly be wrong with one or both and would have to send them back as with past experiences (a 50/50 shot). Well, they've been working for several months now and I can't really complain. The cabinets seem to be holding up and the interior components appear to be working thus far. The rating is 1000 watts and 500 RMS which might not be off by too much....The overall sound is very good for a speaker in this price range. With that being said, don't expect a top notch clear sound in the mids such as some of the Top-Level High-Dollar Manufacturers. These speakers can certainly be pushed for hours without concern and do produce high volumes but again just not as clear in the midrange. Like most, in any price range, if you want heavy lows get a subwoofer/s....My only issue was with the inputs, once I hit a certain volume level there would be a slight rattle coming from the backside of the speaker. Personally, I use the speakon connections but right next to the speakon inputs are the 1/4" inputs. I traced the rattling sound to the 1/4" inputs. The simple solutions was to insert a "FEMALE RCA JACK TO 1/4" MALE AUDIO MONO PHONE PLUG" just to reduce/eliminate the rattle (without an actual cable connection, just the plug inserted). This appeared to solve the problem. Additional note: I think the specs states two 1/4" inputs but mine had one 1/4" and one speakon....I have a variety of different speakers (including four sets of the "Big Name - High Dollar" speakers). I've never had a complaint out of anyone, at least nobody has come to me and said anything. The funny thing is, out of any comments by listeners and or Karaoke Singers, I've gotten more compliments about the 4 sets of Pyle Pro Speakers than anything else. Odd, isn't it?

I own 4 JBL eon 1500s the old style and these pyles surpassed my expectations when put up next to the eon's The low end is just as good and although the horn on the high end is not quite as crisp it's plenty good. OH and you can buy 2 1/2 of these compared to the eon's price. As for durabilty on the road we will see as I just got them and taking on the road next but should be fine.

These boots are the only ones out of close to 10 differnts pairs from various companies that actually fit my feet. Nice wide toe and cushioned ankle. Boots just slide on and off no problems. The steel toe is just a bonus for me and has saved my feet several times now. They even hold their taction on ice better than my snow boots did...

Making "cool" and "nerd" work together in a sentence!

I got this as a gift for my teenage brother, a star wars fanatic (but not lunatic), and I am more than pleased with my purchase. The price tag might seem steep, but this is by far the best Star Wars Lightsaber replica on the market, with real heft and fine detail, though a little bulkier than the film version to house all the electronics. It looks and sounds great - with the flick of a switch it powers up, the light flowing from the base rather than coming on all at once like some of the cheaper "flashlight" versions found in your local toy store. Also, it features motion sensor sound effects, with different sounds when powered up and powered down, when idle, when swung and when it clashes with objects, like the sister who bought it for you in the first place - jerk. All kidding aside, it is very cool, but definitely for collectors, not children. It is not a toy but rather a great display piece, and a must buy for any collectible-loving Star Wars fan.

A piece of workmanship

When I was younger, I always thought it would be a great idea for a company to make *realistic* replicas of movie props like Star Wars weapons. I don't get it when companies like Hasbro go out of their way to make their lightsabers look so toy-like - as long as they are safe I'm sure kids would appreciate them looking more like their movie hero's weapons.And so there is MasterReplicas. Now, this lightsaber isn't for young kids (although they will go gaga when they seee it) - its large, heavy, made of metal. However, it is extremely realistic and durable (it will actually stand up to a good fight!). The sound effects are fantastic. Everyone who sees it thinks it is cool. I think its a great value at the price I paid on Amazon.

Join the dark side, it is your destiny

I bought one of these and was surprised how durrable it was, deffinately not like the ones you get from Hasbro, Rubies or any of those other inferior brands. It is extremly educational (that is if you enjoy learning how to construct one, or for learning how to duel) I will soon be getting three more so my brothers and I can have duels, also they say not to duel with them, I say as long as you are careful and don't hit people hard with them, they work for dueling, also people are going to duel anyway.
