Once you find your joists, it's a breeze to install. I couldn't find mine, so thinking like a builder, I figured the joist was in the middle of the kitchen. I drilled a pilot hole & struck the joist 1st time. Then you just drill a larger hole, & screw in the hooks--use a hammer handle or crow bar to turn the hooks into position.I also have a cathedral ceiling that required 2 additional long bars that Home Depot mail order sent me. I was then able to level the unit off.Not having any copper pots or pans, I used my hard anodized cookware as an alternative--all totaled, I have 9 pots & pans & 2 colanders hanging, with 2 lids on the top. Looks great!
