EXCELLENT inexpensive crossover machine!

It's easy to find "functional trainers" for $1500+ with incorporated weight stacks--in addition, they tend to have a very narrow frame with insufficient room for a full stretch.This machine is superior to those for several reasons, and is better even than its weight stack counterpart. I spoke with a representative at Yukon who told me--much to my astonishment--that the weight capacity on this thing is 900 POUNDS--450 on each stack! That is truly an incredible feature, and I've never seen a commercial crossover machine bearing that much weight. They tend to have weight stacks, but those stacks usually max out at 300-350 lbs (and often only have 200-250).I'm 6'5, and I get an excellent, full stretch from this machine. The cable action is smooth now and will get better with continued use. Two things to mention: It was shipped to me with two washers missing, and I don't really care for the included handles. Get yourself some Spud Straps for weight machines; they're the best.This crossover has the greatest feature available: incrementally adjustable cable height. This brings the versatility up considerably. With a machine like this, literally hundreds of exercises are possible, and this could be a complete gym with just a bench (but I like my barbells too much).The instructions assure you that it is not physically possible to assemble this thing without two people. I did it alone, but I don't recommend that...it was a pain. You need someone tall to hold the center bar in the air if you want easy assembly. Great, great product with twice the weight capacity of most home gym crossovers.

As soon as this came in, my husband and I put it together. Assembly was easy but time consuming. Directions were simple to follow and yes, you do need 2 people to put parts of it together. (but not all) He was excited to find a machine with free weights instead of stacks and one that had so many adjustable heights. He did end up purchasing some extra attachments for a greater workout program. FYI: This ships via a logistics comapany and came in 2 flat boxes.

Review of Yukon Cable Crossover

This was the cheapest cable crossover machine I could find with all the features I wanted.The quality is average. Residential quality. What I expected. However, the quality of the paint and finish was poor. A lot of paint chips and areas of surface rust. Not what I expected from a new unit.
