Perfect for the 2.0L, Kit for Manual Trans no Cruise. Mod for Auto/Cruise

K & N has the reputation for quality, and it shows in this product. The only reason a four star, not a five is ad did not state drive train or accessory options. The large (and heavy) deflector plate is not used or needed in the Auto/Cruise installation. The manual trans version shown in the install diagrams shows the large deflector where the cruise bracket is located, and would also hit and cover the trans dip-stick/fill tube. The filter moves slightly upward, to the left a bit and still above the radiator fan air flow. A 5/8" T-fitting is installed in the breather tube line with a 90 Degree adapter sealed to the evaporative system tube tube. The entire original breather box and bracket can then be completely removed and retained with all the other original equipment parts. Also a custom bracket was fabricated for the front mount out of bar stock aluminum. The top sections where painstakingly polished and the 2.0VVT.i emblem transfers nicely to the top of the now visible valve cover. Ideally the cover could be removed and sandblasted then polished completely. The intakes function is excellent with a noted throttle response improvement right away. It should also provide a small increase in fuel mileage. Easier if kit was made for the Auto trans RAV4, but well worth the effort and time to do the job, and it's a K & N.
