Awesome ride!!!
By La Grande Baker
I just purchased this kayak and tried it out on the Nantahala River in western NC last week. Amazingly fast! Slices right through the whitewater with ease, not tippy at all. Handles great, and I am a novice kayaker, so it would be a great product for beginners. The only complaint is the backrest, it's not very comfortable. I am looking for something to substitute there. I had it positioned where my legs had plenty of room, and the balance and weight distribution were ideal, yet my lower back was not happy at the end of several hours of paddling. It's easy to inflate, took me only about 5 minutes with a hand pump. Overall, I'd highly recommend it for anyone wanting fun on a river or the ocean.

Very pleased with the AE Straitedge kayak
By K. Saucier
We purchased a pair of one man AE Straitedge inflatable kayaks and just took them out for their maiden voyage. Paddled up a calm river a couple miles and back down again and really were pleased with them. With the dual action hand pump, they go up quickly. We got one with a gauge so we know when we reach the proper psi for the different sections. The kayak comes pretty much assembled so you just inflate and go. Just be sure you inflate it enough. We found it inflates more evenly in the ends (bow & stern)if you alternate filling air in the two outer sections until you get to full inflation.Very stable. Fun to manuever compared to our canoe days. Easy to get into. Hardest part is getting out when you are sitting ground level compared to a canoe.Plenty of places to clip things on to secure them. One tip - be sure it is totally dry in every little corner before packing away. Inflate at home and let sit to dry a couple days and inspect well. Moisture can hide and cause mold.Second trial coming in another week - yippee.

Awesome!
By Mrs. Summers
I have had this kayak for two months now, and have had it on both flat and whitewater. It is so comfortable (other than the backrest, which doesn't give much support) and easy to use. I only recommend that when buying a paddle for this kayak, that it be 230 cm in length or greater as the kayak is wider than most.It rides so well, feels secure and is very durable. I got it caught on a rock in a rapid, had to swim out and then throw rope it in. It went over the rock, and several others as well as a small tree and came out of the water without even a scuff or scratch. And it's rated for up to class III whitewater, so you can take it almost anywhere.I love it and I recommend it to anyone interested in inflatable kayaking.
