great even if you are not a helmsman

so anyway I had to shellac, as we used to call it, because the finish was actually made from some kind of south Asian shell, or something, some bare wood panelling for a south facing sun room here at the hermitage, and had to choose among old cans of MINWAX 23010 .5PT SATIN POLYURETHANE or other finishes, or this product. Because it promises to resists extremes of temperature, I chose this one, since that porch may get warm in the daytime and quite chilly at night.I realize this is basically designed for outdoor boat use, by saltwater, and resists therefore water and salt and the rest, and out here in the desert we are lucky to get a five minute rain shower these past few years, so all the more reason to turn to this product for any need, realizing it will stand up to all kinds of abuse very well.Anyway, using those phoney foam sponge brushes, this product applied very easily to the rather rough panelling, bare wood, and two coats looks great, and really brings out glowingly the grain of the wood. A real brush did even better once I had snapped those foam sponges . . .I'm hoping it will stand up to any abuse we may give it within that sunny chapel
