High Torque at ALL Speeds TX, TXM, and TXB motors are Foredom's most powerful flex shaft machines with 1/3HP. They have permanent magnet DC motors that feature the latest in flex shaft technology. These ball bearing models utilize advanced rare earth magnets (in place of the wound fields in our universal type SR motors) that deliver more torque at the low end and throughout the entire speed range of 500 to 15,000 RPM. No other flex shaft gives you greater control of the cutting tool, drill, or bur under any load. TX, TXM, and TXB motors come with standard 39 in. long flexible shafts and sheaths for connecting to any of Foredom's 20+ "quick disconnect in. handpieces. The TX hang-up model is also available in prepackaged kits TX300 and 5400. Foredom's permanent magnet motors require the use of a TXR, SXR, or EMX control. TX motors are available in 115 Volt ONLY The TX is a hang up style version of the Series TX motor. It shares all of the same specifications and comes supplied with Foredom's standard shaft and sheath. Extremely powerful and high quality tool!

I've had a smaller version of this tool and this 1/3 HP version is amazing. Enough torque to make the motor jump around on its hanger if you give it full power. Almost impossible to slow down significantly even with 3/4" diameter burrs. In fact I haven't been able to stall it.Really nice variable speed foot controller. You can control the speed with great precision.And it is so quiet compared to air tools!
