4Super guitar amp
By Cryogenic Stasis J
I was on deployment and needed a guitar amp that had some power and some sound shaping capability. I'm not a novice on music and I knew Roland products were very good design and sound quality on mid and small size amps (from my bass-playing days). It came new in the box with all documentation. There are no accessories, since it's a combo (self-contained) amp.I immediately plugged it in and fried it on bloody 220 VAC (Iraq voltage) idiot move. LoL . After getting it repaired, I plugged in my brand-new Ibanez Edge-3 series guitar and BLEW THE DOORS OFF! It has two settings, clean and lead. Both sounds are awesome. Effects included are Flanger , Chorus, reverb , delay, and about 4 or 5 distortion settings. No joke, I couldn't turn it up more than halfway! THIS THING WAS ROCKING THE HOUSE!~I played parties and performed twice in front of 300 or so people with my guitar and just this amp.I could achieve THE EXACT SOUND of Dio (Holy Diver) or Judas Priest (Vengeance, British Steel) with EASE! I'm not kidding this thing sounds GREAT! On the clean settings it sounded better than my room mates acoustic. LoLPlaying rock , blues , neo-classical , clean , distortion, sounded superb. Also the built in tuner (LED indicator) came in handy when my real tuner crapped out on me. I was very pleased with the ext input (laptop or iPod) and the headphone jack (1/4 inch) When I played movies or my laptop thru this thing it was Loud and Clear as a BELL. Just be careful if you run something thru it because there's no INPUT volume on that plug.Great FREQ response , power , and clarity. Perfect for practicing or performances in front of small audiences. You're not gonna gig with this thing. Trust me. For the bed room, or choir practice, this amp will work. Just be careful because it's VERY POWERFUL AND LOUD for it's relatively small size.I love it.

5Solid Amp, as Roland is known for in the 'CUBE' Series
By Don
My first experience with the Roland Cube Series of Amps was in Iraq in 2004, when I was teaching and playing minor 'gigs' on the weekends in a coffee house on base for the soldiers. Up came a group for open mike, and the guitar player had a cube amp, and it kept up with acoustic drums with ease. I HAD TO HAVE ONE!!!Damn near 10 years later I finally got one, from craigslist for a whopping 75 bones. What a remarkable little AMP! The clean channel is crystal clear. The gain side has many choices of distortion, and there are several effects built in. No, it is not the end all of amps. Most modelling amps do ok at best on the effects, and none of the effects in this one are stellar, but they are convincing to be sure, and played live with other musicians, they get the job done. Any guitarist who has gigged at all remembers well the days of dragging a heavy combo amp, or even a stack amp around and what a pain it is to do over and over. Not the case with this little amp, the guitar weighs more than the amp. For an 8 inch speaker it is capable of some pretty decent bass output, and the eq on it actually works really well. Where it shines though is the output to a mixing board, what a concept, carry a small amp and let the sound guy do the hard work. In all fairness it is exactly what it was made for, a very good practice amp, that happens to overacheive in cool add ons. No, it will not run with my Crate V-33 and 4X12 amp, but it shouldn't. A remarkable amp at a remarkable price. It is difficult to go wrong on the Cube series...
