According to Hasbro catalogs, the space capsule was actually designed from "Mercury Control" blueprints. The realistic space uniform featured a silver metallic fabric "as used by U.S. Astronauts in real space flights." This reproduction of the Action Astronaut accurately captures all the realistic and authentic details of this classic figure. G.I. Joe Action Astronaut with realistic astronaut suit including helmet, boots, and gloves. Also contains space camera, propellant gun, chest pack with tether cord, air conditioner, G.I. Very realistic - but you need to be careful with it also

My 7 year old 2nd grade son is crazy about all things space and really wanted an astronaut action figure. He loves this and plays with it all the time. The only thing is we have to remind him to be extra careful with it as it is a collectible and not easily replaced if something breaks.
