But it is sturdy and of the tethers brought onto the boat for my Offshore experience this was by far the best. Sturdy clip to the jackline that will not release without your input. The bungee aspect really helps to keep it from tangling, and in my opinion the clasp that allows you to release under tension is a necessity. You may never need to, but if you ever do, it will be impossible to release without it.99 times out of 100, this will probably be worth 0 dollars as you'll never have "needed" it, but that 1 time it is priceless, so its worth every penny!

The length of the strap is good - long enough to move around on deck but catch you before you become a trolling lure if you fall. The elastic keeps it from getting in the way. The clips are easy to use, even with gloves on. I vastly prefer this to a non-elastic strap.

Excellent tether. The price is high, but the elastic cord and heavy-duty shackle and wichard should last for years.
