Refined and accurate sound.

These speakers are worth the extra money, Just make sure you have plenty of power to them or you are not going to have good results. Well made, sound clear and accurate. Also play very loud with good bass. I would highly recommend using Dynamate.

ok so far - what's with the WARNING?

I read ALL good reviews on these, then bought two to replace OEM frontspeakers, replaced one and hooked stereo back up to briefly compare the old vs. new andI honestly didn't hear a significant difference, although I haven't installed myamp yet.ONE thing that I have not read ANYWHERE in online specs or reviews: On the INSIDE flapof the box it reads :WARNING: this product contains a high performance tweeter. If there is atweeter already installed in your car, then you must disconnect its terminals.If you leave the original tweeter connected and connect this product inparallel, then a fault may develop in this product, so you are stronglyrecommended not to do so.WTF? that is precisely what i had intended on doing, replacing my 5.25" withalpines, and also upgrading the tweeter in my stock 6-speaker buick. Why isthis warning HIDDEN on the inside of the box and not on any sites?any advice?These mount low in the door, and the tweeter is up higher, so I don't want to eliminate the tweeters and have all my front sound coming from floor level.(Bought from amazon.com for $88)

I ordered the Alpine SPR-13C 6.5 they are really well built and have a rich clean sound to them. I give them a 5 out of 5 since they serve my purpose for what i needed them to do, to supply clean sound in the front kick panels. But i've been reading reviews on how some people are saying they give good bass and i cant say i agree. While they are clean and responsive in the mids i would not buy these speakers solely for the intention of a good source of bass in your music.
