Product Description
The HyperPAC, Hypertech's Performance Automotive Computer, allows you to power tune your vehicle for more horsepower and torque, perform runs just like you're at the drag strip, dyno test your engine to compare gains from aftermarket modifications, monitor virtually every engine and transmission function as a digital or analog gauge, diagnose problems, and clear "check engine" lights. The HyperPAC will also interface with optional Hypertech data acquisition modules to display important information that may not be available from the vehicle's computer, such as exhaust gas temperature (EGT) of diesels, or air/fuel ratio (AFR) of gas vehicles. The HyperPAC is a computer that plugs into your diagnostic port and collects all the necessary data from your vehicle inputs to program, monitor, record, and evaluate vehicle performance with unrivaled accuracy. A high-resolution, 3-inch x 4-inch touch screen makes it easy to select functions, and the menus are so simple that most people claim you don't need the instruction manual. It delivers everything an enthusiast ever wanted right on your dash in one easy-to-use package.

01 GT HyperPAC Tuner
By C. Spainhower
I went with the Hyperpac because Amazons price was cheaper than the big name brands and it has as many if not more funtions. I have found it is very easy to navigate the functions and synced it to my 01 GT with no problem. I had previously installed a cold air intake system, which looks and sounds cool but I couldn't tell the difference in power. I was skeptical when I uploaded the Performance Tune and didn't expect to see that much from it. What I did see was an immediately noticible increase in throttle response. I know it's not my imagination because after I put the intake system on I made several WOT runs from 1st through 3rd, I have a 5-speed manual. With a rolling start the tires would never loose traction in first gear on pavement (with traction control off). After the tune when I hit full throttle at any speed in 1st gear the tires will break loose and away we go. Now I'm going to start checking mileage and see if I got an improvement there as well. Highly recommended.

Best Programmer I've Had So Far
By Benjamin
I've played around with programmers in the past, and seen small to moderate diffrences in how my car handles in comparison to before I programmed them. After a hardware failure with the origional Hypertech Power Programmer III that I got with the car when I bought it I dealt with Hypertech and got this upgrade. There is a massive diffrence in the performance between what I used to get with other programmers and this one. You'll not be sorry you invested the money in this one for sure. What makes this stand out from other programmers besides the excelent tuning is that it offers live ECM sensor reading while you're driving. It doesn't just read error codes like many others, it actualy offers many customizable digital gauge layouts that allow you to monitor key performance indicators while driving. It mounts in the winsheild like a GPS receiver would and tracks quite a bit of data about how your car is performing. It also offers a virtual dyno feature and virtual drag strip feature which allows you to acurately measure your car's timing and performance as though you took it to a dyno or drag strip. After calibration, my time slips showed within 5/100ths of a second what the programmer did, and the dyno results were spot on from what I've gotten on a real dyno. The only real drawback that I didn't like was that it's a bit bulky. You'll want to mount this on the left of your winsheild or up high where it's out of the main line of vision. The big size makes sense when you see how much is crammed into that screen, but all the same, in today's world it's not small.I'll buy one of these for every car I drive from now on!
