LUCKY ME! 125% Pleased! A WINNER!

Update 6/2012I've had these almost 2 years now and wear the heck out of them! They're still going strong! I had a very small problem which was my fault for not using the pull up straps where a thread pulled loose. Before this very small problem turned into a large one, I took it to the shoemaker where he re-sewed the 3/4 inch long problem by hand for a nominal charge of $10. He commented on what an excellent pair of boots these were and also commented on their suppleness and asked what conditioner I used on them saying 'Keep doing what you're doing and these boots last forever'. I told him I was using Frye Leather Conditioning Cream which is a bit of a chore on large boots and FRYE Weatherproof Spray which is quick and easy. Being that they have the 'Vintage' finish, you can't use any polish. Those 'Neutral' can change the texture of the finish and detract from the boots good looks. From the start I wanted these boots which are quite expensive (but Made in USA) to last. I called Frye and asked what to use on them. They mentioned several products but promised that theirs would definitely work as intended on the Vintage finish. I highly Fye products on these boots. The soles and heels are wearing like iron and it will be a LONG tome until I need new soles but I was concerned as to who can I take these to when I need soles without worrying that they'll mess something up. You can return them to Frye for any repairs for the same price as local shoemakers.Update 11/2011I've had these over a year now! These are by far the BEST and MOST COMFORTABLE boots I've ever owned.. Now read on to see my original Sept. 2010 review...I bought this pair (Tan/Vintage) after reading reviews all over the Internet. They were ALL 5 STAR! I'm not about to change that either. These boots look fantastic! I liked them in the pictures, but when you see them in person there's a real WOW factor!I took them out of the box, put them on and off a few times to loosen them up and went out and about. They were so comfortable that I couldn't believe they were new! They felt broken in already.The quality of the leather, finish, construction, stitching, components and workmanship are EXCELLENT. An even better thing is that FRYE makes them right here in the USA. These are quality boots. I'll review them again... maybe in 10 years or so, as these are built for a lifetime of everyday use.Since you're reading this, I know you're thinking about buying a pair. Don't settle for second best and wish you had bought these (When your cheaply made overseas ones fall apart). Pay a bit more and and get the best! FRYE Men's Harness 12 R Vintage Boot!

Cannot complain

They are exactly as shown. Excellent and comfortable boot. Hard for me to get on/off because I have high arches, but otherwise they fit excellent. A good boot, no doubt about it.
