Saved me once and still protecting!

I have a pair I bought in 2006 and am replacing them since having an accident. They still had plenty of wear and probably would still be in great shape years from now if I hadn't laid my bike down! They could still continue to protect me, but like a helmet, I figure that one accident is enough. The way I went down, my foot would have been burned and torn up if I had not been wearing these boots. You could see some melting of the sole and scrapes on the leather, but my foot was perfectly safe even though it was a bad accident. My leg and knee weren't as lucky and it took over 6 months for them to heal, but if I had not been wearing the boots I am sure I would have lost my foot and had more long term damage. the sturdiness of the boot also appears to have minimized damage to my leg and as the bike pinned my foot to the ground, and it also helped keep the bike from scraping as hard as it would have. My husband and I are stunned at how well it held up and shocked at how good it still looked after the accident.These are so comfortable that I often wear them just as an everyday boot as well. When my new pair arrives, I will retire my first pair to everyday use. They have great traction and when we get bad weather in the northwest, these make me feel more secure in my footing than any other shoes or boots that I own. Even after a 300 mile ride day, they are comfortable. They breath well, so in winter I like to add rubber over boots to help keep the cold at bay, otherwise, these are year round comfortable.I can't recommend these enough. Great boots that will last for YEARS!

I am 5'4" and ride a HD road glide. These boots are great, never slip when I put my foot down. Backing into a parking space is easier with the grip of the sole.

bad fit

They are gigantic even when I ordered my regular boot size. I like the style but they are so stiff just couldn't keep them.
