Sturdy and Beautiful

Chairs are beautiful, but the quality concerns me.

My wife and i have a solid oak table that has been in our family for years and we wanted to get new chairs, that dressed up the dining room look. We found these chairs and ordered 2 Arm Chairs and 8 armless. The vendor shipped them out immediately and unfortunately some arrived damaged (the vendor even added more protection prior to shipping). The parts were quickly replaced and the chairs are now in use. The quality of these chairs are my major issue. They are beautifully carved, but the Chinese manufacturer used a soft wood to make these. Thus I am very careful when we used these as I fear over time the legs will be a problem where they bolt to the seat base. Had a hardwood species been used, its likely the chair would have been too heavy to move around as they are quite substantial in size. The seat fabric is beautiful and just like you see in the photographs. The price for these chairs are worth it, providing we get a fair amount of use out of them in future years. Many thanks again to the folks at Acme, as they did a great job making us happy.
