Awesome rack!
By jalmquist
I looked high and low, east and west, north and south, and I couldn't find any decent rack for my home lab environment. This unit fit the bill perfectly! It includes everything you need, as well as screws to mount your equipment. It's very sturdy, and I don't worry at all about this rack failing on me. I didn't get the casters. I devised my own mobil solution. I bolted on two pieces of 6x4 hardwood to the bottom, and attached 4 heavy-duty casters (up to 1000 pounds).Initially I bought a server rack from ITS Enclosures ([...]), but it wasn't a server rack at all. They ended up keeping my money and sticking me with a hunk of metal that will be difficult for me to even dispose of. Do not buy a "server rack" from ITS Enclosures, because they do not know the first thing about what a server rack is, even know they advertised this as a server rack.

Do not buy! This rack will not fit servers with rails!
By shak
Do not make the same mistake I did. This rack is not the correct width, none of my servers with Rails will fit correctly. I am now out several hundred dollars since my servers did not arrive in time for the return window.A correctly built rack should have a width of 17.75 inches. This rack is 17.5 inches.

Great 25U rackmount
By Robert Wurzburg
I saw this rackmount on Amazon and knew it was the one for me after reading the other reviews.A central place to install all my power supply, distribution, UPS backups, networking, dial-up, and printer switchequipment. Every indicator is now on the rack and can tell any system status at a glance in one place, instead ofpoking here and there around my SOHO looking to see the LED's on a component. The instructions were somewhat sparse, though following their advice to start from the top and work your way downdoes work better. First attach the arms on each side not snugged up, starting from the top. Once all the screwsare in each arm, then they can be snugged up. I then installed the center shelf, which proved critical in centeringand squaring everything else up. Next was a final tightening of the arms to the posts, then the center screws ineach arm, working my way from top to bottom each time. Then a final adjustment and tightening of the center shelf, and going back over every screw for a double check in the order mentioned above.Last come the front and rear anti-tip plates, making sure they are flat and level to the floor surface. Once allis secured, the black arm screw access hole caps can be installed. I didn't use the optional casters, and unlessyou are installing over 1000 pounds of servers and other gear, I didn't feel it necessary to bolt it to the woodfloor of the house. Although the weight distribution is towards the front, you can put quite alot on the rear ofthe rack also, especially power distribution and cable management stuff. This rackmount is so flexible in how one can configure it, and the heavy-gauge steel making up the arms and postsprovide excellent support properly assembled. I wish they gave me 6M instead of 5M screws and nuts. I bought the6M Belkin from Amazon, and shelving and cable management parts from various sellers including Amazon. Extra Star-Tech 5M come in handy for lighter shelving, cable management, etc. Save your nice 6M for the heavy stuff like theUPS's, line conditioners and other gear over 10 lbs.Product arrived in excellent condition sold by Amazon, good price and free shipping. My SOHO will be complete withthe Startech 25U rackmount. A final picture will be posted in customer images. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who willtake advantage of this kind of open-air 4-post rackmount system.
