This 8 Gallon Touchless Trashcan NX model uses latest sensor technology. As your hand or debris enter the zone 6 inches from the infrared sensor on top of the trash can, the lid will automatically open. Great size and operation, just a few very minor complaints

I like this trashcan, my only few complaints would be:- the slightly delayed reaction in opening- the inside "mouth" of the can is smaller than most trashcans as they have to account for the section they put the motor/batteries for the electronic lid, so sometimes food when "dumped and thrown in capriciously" will hit the battery area, and requires a quick wipe so food doesn't get encrusted on there.- my trashbags don't stay in place that well, but it could be b/c i have cheap bags and need to get sturdier ones.- sometimes the lid closes too quickly on me, i.e. when i'm scraping off leftovers, BUT I do like the "keep open" function which I use when I'm cooking so I don't need to keep waving my hand over it and waiting that 1.5 seconds for it to react.For the most part, I like the look and uniqueness and I can deal with the aforementioned complaints just fine and would buy this product again.
