It ain't heavy

Everyone who sees it first asks about its weight. It does look like carved granite. And the way that the water clings to the top stone is something most people don't expect. The top fits more or less to the bottom, but some of the drain holes weren't completely drilled, so they needed a bit of work. And then there is the light.The light is the chromed fitting on the top where the water comes out. It has a number of white LEDs around the perimeter and one small light sensor. The idea is that the light come on when it gets dark. And it does, the only problem being when the LEDS illuminate, they generate enough light to tell the sensor to turn the entire light off. And it does. The result is that the light begins to strobe slowly as the sun sets, strobes faster as the ambient light lessons, until dark when the lights flicker quickly. Makes sense, right? Lights come on, make light for the sensor, which turns lights off. Repeat, oh, about 10 times a second. Not exactly the soft calming effect one might expect.My solution? A bit of plumber's putty directly over the sensor. It no longer comes on at night unless I plug it in, but it also no longer flickers. More of a sparkle now, and looks good.All in all, it's worth the money when it's on sale. Just be ready to work with it a bit.

great fountain!

I'm so excited about this fountain! It's beautiful but also light enough for me to lift. Works perfectly and looks great in my garden.
