This transformer works perfectly. I use it several times a week with my small items (iron, hair dryer, etc) purchase in England and it has never failed!!

Built like a tank

I had 4 transformers before this one. They all broke. I use them for guitar amplifier. The last one gave me huge electrical shock and was scared to play my guitar for a while. This transformer I highly recommend. It seems real well built. Voltage indicator is a big plus. Had no problems with it. It provides you your basic plug needs also. Stay away from cheap transformers, they either break or worse give you electrical shocks. This one is a keeper.
