I have had this TIF 9055 programmable meter/scale for several years and I find it to be very accurate, but really don't use all the extra features it has that much, so will use my TIF 9010A more often. If for some reason you need to do unattended recovery though, it can be useful to help prevent overfilling the recovery cylinder. You can also program it to meter a specific amount of refrigerant flow, so if you need to do some unattended charging or repetitive charging of several identical pieces of equipment with a critical charge, it might also be useful to increase productivity for that type of work.The tethered display is a little heavy and bulky since it contains a solenoid valve to control refrigerant flow as well as one 9V battery and four AA batteries to operate both the display unit and the solenoid. The solenoid valve is rated at 500 PSI so this unit can also be used with R410A.This scale has a 220 LB capacity so can handle both 30 Lb and 50 Lb cylinders with no problem. The display has a zero set for tare and can be set to show Lbs/oz, Lbs or Kg. It comes with a decent hinged plastic case that the scale can either be left in or removed and set directly on the ground. Back when I bought mine, it also came with two 1/2" Acme adapter fittings for automotive use, but I don't know if TIF still includes them or not.Overall, I would say that if you need the refrigerant metering capability, this unit should work fine for you, but it is a little expensive, so if all you're really looking for is a scale and can do without the metering and memory recall functions, you could probably save some money by just getting a decent digital refrigerant scale instead.
