Not durable...keep your receipt
By Bruce Bachand
I was given an Ogio Politan for Christmas '08. Giver did not include gift receipt, and I (unfortunately) did not ask. I am a professional who typically loads the bag modestly with a 15" laptop, compact size daily organizer, PDA, two cell phones, and pen/pencil/USB (30 lbs or less). The top two corner seams already let go. I contacted Ogoi, and they adhere strictly to their warranty and do not back their product absent a receipt. Because it was a gift, I did not want the giver to feel badly that their present was problematic, so I opted not to ask if they maintained the receipt six months after the fact. If they are like most of us, it is likely not. Ogio did offer a 50% discount towards a new bag, but given the exceptionally poor durability of this one, I declined. After further research, I went with a Wenger, and true to reputation, they are heavier but significantly more ruggedized. For reference, I do have a 10-year-old North Face non-laptop backpack used on days that I cycle into work, loaded even heavier than the Ogio, and that shows no signs of impending failure. Ogio's backing of their product, while not a departure from their 'Limited' Warranty, show a disappointing lack of backing for a product that failed quickly and within intended use.

Zips do not last
By Margaret Trinder
I bought one of these a while ago and the zip that closes the laptop section broke after 9 months. Thinking it was a bit of bad luck, I bought another one, and the zip broke in exactly the same place in less than 6 months. Clearly the zips are not hardy enough. Dont buy this rubbish.

Great Backpack!

Excellent Backpack!Has much more room than you can tell by looking at picture.Has a separate compartment for laptop, tons of padding!Few cons:Zipper takes a few seconds to get moving... probably due to weatherproof material.Handle is a little flimsy.Overall:A++
