Excellent Product. It actually works - well!

The Wilson 812201 is a great product. I have very spotty GSM cell coverage about 1000 feet away, or up on a hill. But nothing where I need it - "No Service". With a Wilson external antenna, I have one or sometimes two bars, but can only make calls about 60% of the time and those calls frequently drop off. The Wilson amplifier brings me up to three or four bars, so that I can call out without difficulty and without losing the connection. I can't say that it will work in all circumstances or if you're very far from a signal, but I'm very satisifed with the product and found it to be well worth the very affordable price. The only "negative" point (if it is one), is that the unit heats up quite a bit over time, which I understand is normal, so it's best not to keep it in an enclosed area.

This is a great product if you have a phone that is compatible with it. Not all phones have a plug in for an external antenna. Also, this needs to be used with a phone that has a visible antenna on it. I had to purchase a new phone that was actually a discontinued model because the Booster would not work on the phone I had. But once it's used with a compatible phone, it's a great product. We used it on a houseboat where cell phone coverage was spotty. This product greatly improved reception and so was able to stay connected with my aging parents.
