We wanted a regular standard scale and not a digital one. We are very pleased with this purchase, it has met our expectations and weighing yourself the old fashioned way is great.

Tried and true.

Bought an electronic Seca scale a few years ago - it sucked batteries and eventually died (think Mercedes - built like tanks but electronics always have problems). This mechanical/analog model is just like the one my friend had at his house when I was a kid (his parents were from Germany and loved quality German made things). Guess what, it's still there and working. A little more money but don't have to hear the wife complain about how the cheaper scales are a little "off." I'm happy with this one and maybe my kids will be using this or another version of this someday.
