5Good price and easy replacement.
By Brad Casner
Ordered this the night of 10/9, shipped 10/10 and I received it 10/12. Very prompt service and the blower fit my 16 year-old Trane XE80 furnace exactly. This was an easier installation than replacing the blower motor last year. I used high temp RTV silicone to create a good seal during installation as the original fiberglass gasket was not in great shape and did not warrant reuse. The blower is now much quieter upon start up of the heat cycle (no longer a metal on metal rubbing sound).

5Draft Inducer
By Reality Check
I replaced the draft inducer because the original one started making a metal on metal tinging sound as the furnace began it's shut down sequence. The replacement part screwed right in with ease. The new unit makes a lower pitched sound than the original but seems to work fine.

5Excellent service and a good price. And an easy repair.
By Eric H
Excellent service and a good price. And an easy repair. My original furnace inducer started to make a startup noise of metal-on-metal, but it wasn't the squirrel cage, so it had to be inside the motor. After startup, it would run quietly, but the noise was slowly getting worse as heating season wears on. My furnace is 14+ years old, Trane TUE100A936K0. I could not identify the model# of the inducer, as the label has long ago disintegrated. The furnace manual does show the HP, RPM, CFM of the inducer assembly which matches the specifications of this fan, but best of all, the picture of this part on Amazon, is enough to confirm a close match, not 100% sure but close enough for me. I ordered on Saturday, it was shipped on SUNDAY! From a next-door-state, and I received it on Monday - unbelievable and unexpected. I did not ask for rush service, but apparently the vendor saw a furnace-part order in heating season, and was automatically expeditious - I am very impressed with this vendor. This assembly screws into the original mounting holes, and the factory plug fit too. Unlike my original fan, the new fan did not include a dedicated ground screw location, but you can use a bolt on the fan guard instead. The new inducer assembly does not look exactly the same, but again the specs match and the furnace works fine and is quiet now.To install this inducer, you should have something to seal the discharge to the flue - I think Ultra Copper RTV is good enough, but I'm not a furnace/HVAC service expert (I'm an engineer of building control systems). The inducer intake flange should also be sealed but the intake is less critical because it is under suction. I re-used my original flakey fiberglass gasket on the intake.PS, After a couple weeks in operation, I did notice an occasional odor of smoke, no measurable CO, so obviously I didn't achieve a perfect seal somewhere. So don't skimp on the RTV sealant. Anybody know where I can get nice flat fiberglass furnace gasket online?
