Beautiful collector doll (not a toy)

I feel I must start this review with the statement: THIS IS NOT A TOY! I see collector Barbie dolls with terrible reviews on Amazon because the parents complain about them when they give them to children to play with. This doll box states it is for the adult collector 14 and up.Okay, now that that is out of the way. I am a former Barbie collector (stopped about 8 years ago because I collect other things & Barbie's face mold has changed since then; don't like the new one). This was my first collector Barbie I got the Christmas when I was 14. She's my favorite Barbie ever and is still in her beautiful box.The doll is lovely, and pictures don't do her justice. It's a loving tribute to the great Impressionist, Claude Monet. The dress is pure fantasy and has a gorgeous print on it. The fabric of the dress is textured too, and I love the beading detail. Closed mouth Barbie face mold of the 1990s is a lovely face, very serene. The colors are gorgeous too. Beautiful doll; first in a very short-lived series (3 editions).

My first note is that she is a doll to be collected--kept nice in the box, not played with. Her gown is wide and the detail is so stunning! She's absolutely gorgeous and is a good representative of the Monet style of art. True collectors and lovers of art will appreciate this.
