Perfect!

If you are looking for a IR lamp to augement your NVG, look no further! I have tested many IR lamps for simple, close quarters NVG application and have found this unit to be completely adequate for up to 100ft+ with no moon or street, porch lights ect. There are more powerful IR lamps, there are less expensive, but this has taken my ATN MO2-1 gen. 1+ NVG with its Blair Witch Project, scattter focusing and eye straining IR and has given me second thoughts about a expensive NVG upgrade. I use my NVG and IR for home security as paramount reason for ownership as I recently needed a reliable NVG and IR and did not have it. I am confident about this unit combined with my ATN gen 1+ NVG to clear dark areas of my property without concern or eye strain. The only issue when using this unit is it's visablity at close range with a red glow from it's lamp source for which one must mask if one wants to keep concealed! I found with simple tactics, this was a non issue for the task at hand and any solutions to circumvent was defeating the purpose at the core. I have already mounted the base to my NVG! On to my next project!
