The PREVENTIC Tick Collar by VIRBAC is the only tick collar that detaches and kills ticks effectively. Each collar is effective for 3 months and is a good complement to Advantage or PROGRAM flea control when tick protection is also required. Recommended for use on dogs/puppies 3 months and older. DIRECTIONS: Place the collar around the dog's neck, adjust for proper fit and buckle in place. Cut off and dispose of excess length. The collar must be worn tightly enough to contact skin and so the dog cannot remove it.

this will help your tick problem

To my shock, my 4 pomeranians had over 20 ticks on each of them!!! The ticks had invaded our entire house. My dogs are primary inside dogs and even share our bed. We live on the coast in florida where i never suspected ticks to even be a issue with our household. After completely shaving my dogs the ticks kept getting on them. This collar, first purchased from our vet, for double the price, got rid of every tick or killed attached ticks almost imediately (appro 24 hours). It has been almost 2 months and not one tick found on any dog since then. and after having our house exterminated for $200 we are tick free. (Found 2 living ticks about 1 month after extermination , but none on the dogs.) Now almost 3 months later we feel pretty good that the ticks are gone, but i will put one more collar (good for 3 months) on the dogs just to be sure.BUY THESE COLLARS AND YOUR DOG WILL BE VERY TICK FREE! I've tried other products which say they get rid of fleas and ticks, however, the only thing that they get rid of is the fleas. Preventic is the only product I've found that truly gets rid of ticks. You can also save the leftover pieces after sizing to your dog, to put up against walls behind furniture where ticks are laying their eggs.

I have 2 mostly indoor dogs and started seeing ticks on them over a year ago. I had used advantage to control fleas, which is a great product for that but it won't do a thing about a tick infestation. Over the next 6 months I spent well over $1,000 on shampoos, dips, spot on's, yard sprays, house sprays ect... Nothing worked. The ticks would come back within a few days and progressively got worse. Eventually I started having ticks crawling on me, my walls & the problem became unbearable.I pulled up all the carpet left in my house and put down all ceramic tile, continued to bath them 3 to 4 times a week, spray everything, inside & outside and still couldn't get rid of them.This collar saved me when I was at my wits end. My vet kept recommending the frontline plus and like products, none of which worked and was many times the cost.This is the first product I've ever felt so strongly about to write a review. Anyone reading this who might be at the same frustration level I was at, all I can say is try this product first. In a week 95% of the ticks will be gone & by the end of the first month you will have forgotten there was ever a problem.This product is for ticks only and not for cats. My dogs will never be without this collar again, every 3 months I replace it with a new one and I (and my dogs) have been 100% tick free for over 6 months.
