Product Description
De Cecco Bulk Pasta, Capellini, 5-Pound Packages (Pack of 4) is typical of the areas surrounding Genoa, Rome (Ciociaria) and Naples. This thin rod shaped pasta is between 0.033 " – 0.036" thick. Very simple sauces that suit this kind of pasta are butter and cheese, or melted butter with cheese and sage. Other perfect matches are egg-based sauces or fresh tomato -based sauces. They are delicious in a light broth. In the Naples area they are also used for oven pies.

Best "Angel Hair" Pasta by far
By N. J. Wilcox
I have been buying DeCecco Capellini pasta for more than 10 years. I've tried to find cheaper now that DeCecco's price is increasing. There is none other like it that I have found. If you want the thinnest "Angel Hair" Pasta, this is the one to buy. I buy 4 5-pound packages and then make gift baskets for my friends. That way I always have the best fresh "Angel Hair" pasta that I can find.

Simply The Best You Can Buy
By David R. Seid
I originally purchased this Capellini at my local super-market on a discontinued sale. I have always been a fan of angel hair pasta in general and at the discounted price it was a good opportunity to give this made in Italy product a try. Bottom line is I got hooked. The consistency was spot-on and something about the texture and taste made this pasta a winner... Now the problem... it was discontinued at my store, remember? Enter Amazon... While I can't get the pasta in small batches, I am happy to be able to get it at all. This stuff is still pricey, but in this case I truly believe you get what you pay for. Highly recommended to all.
